VTech unveils cordless phone that syncs with cell phone

VTech has a full line of cordless phones for landlines with all sorts of interesting features. If you use your mobile phone more than you use your home landline, you may have wished that you had your mobile phone address book on your home phone more than once.

VTech has unveiled a new cordless home phone called the DS6321-3 that is the first cordless home phone to be able to download cellular phone contact lists over Bluetooth. The VTech device can be synced with up to four Bluetooth devices including smartphones and headsets.
Two mobile phones can be connected to the system at once and the device supports landline, and cellular phone calls simultaneously. The home phone sells for $99.95 and will support up to 12 cordless handsets costing $19.99 each.
i.voicePro 901 Bluetooth headset under $80

Bluetooth headsets are to many people fashion accessories as much as they are hands free devices for making and receiving phone calls. A company called iTech has unveiled a new Bluetooth headset called the i.voicePRO 901 with features to improve call quality.

The headset has dual mics to eliminate noise and advanced noise filtering software to prevent background noise from interrupting your call. The headset comes in three colors including silver, black, and red. The headset pairs with a mobile phone using Bluetooth v2.1 without needing a PIN number.
Functions of the headset include what you expect with last number redial, call reject, call transfer, and auto relink. The device charges via a USB cable from your computer or an AC adapter. Talk time is up to five hours with up to 100 hours on standby. The headset retails for $79.99.
zBoost cellular signal booster gets lower price

Wi-Ex has been offering its DC powered cellular signal booster for vehicles for a while now. When the device first launched it sold for $299. Today the company has announced that the zBoost is getting a 40% price cut.

The new price of the zBoost device is $179.99 and includes all the features of the original. The manufacturer says that the price cut is passed onto the consumer thanks to lower production costs.
The zBoost YX230 includes the booster box, an external magnetic antenna, and an internal magnetic antenna. The user doesn’t have to connect their phone to the zBoost device for it to work.
Bose announces new iPhone dock

The speaker dock is called the Bose SoundDock 10 and is a high-end product with a MSRP of $599. Is not cheap. For that much loot the device will dock the iPhone to play music and charge the device as well as supporting any click wheel iPod and the touch.
Bose build an aux input in for non-dockable iPods and other players as well as a TV out to send video from your iPod to your big screen. Bose has introduced a new woofer that is small, but promises bass typically reserved for large speakers. The waveguide has also been shortened from 75″ to 52″ for the product. Overall dimensions of the SoundDock 10 are 9″ H x 17″ W x 10″ deep.
NAVTEQ, Nokia, and Magneti Marelli integrate smartphone into car entertainment system

Nokia, NAVTEQ, and Magneti Marelli have teamed up to demonstrate a new system that integrates a smartphone into the entertainment system in luxury cars.
The technology seamlessly integrates the smartphone and allows the full range of smartphone features to be accessed by the user once it is connected in the car. The information from the smartphone would be offered on the vehicle high-resolution screen.
Using the technology the driver could get GPS info from the smartphone or car combined with fuel levels and engine status updates. The service could then find the nearest gas station and route the driver to the location. The smartphone in this case would provide the Internet connectivity needed for the feature to function.
